Artist Statement

“The uniqueness of the everyday and the “things that one passes by” create the foundation of my paintings. People and places that on the surface seem insignificant, but on further exploration by the viewer slowly gain a strange familiarity. The allegory of the classic and mythical, folk tales, legends and biblical narrative in these modern images is what I am drawn to.
